Office Administrator – Volunteer

 We are looking for a Volunteer to  provide Admin Support for our team of Advisers and Assessors

 Hours:  Minimum 1 full day or two half days per week

Main duties and responsibilities include:

  • Updating local information system
  • Answering the telephone, taking messages where appropriate
  • Logging incoming mail on Casebook
  • Moving, scanning and attaching of documents to Casebook
  • Keeping staff and volunteer records updated on Casebook
  • Filing
  • Photocopying
  • Ordering and organising leaflets
  • Keeping the office clean and tidy

 

Personal skills and qualities that an office administrator needs:

 

  • Ability to use IT e.g. basic keyboard / data entry skills
  • Flexibility and willingness to work as part of a team
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral
  • Good organisation skills
  • Sensitivity to the needs of others
  • To be organised and systematic
  • A commitment to the aims and principles of the CAB service
