We have supported people in Epsom & Ewell who have mental health issues for a great many years, and continue to do so today.
Our general advice team are skilled and experienced in the advice issues that people with mental health issues face, whether it is to do with the change in benefits from Disability Living Allowance to Personal Independence Payments, rejection of medical evidence, and many others.
Our staff are trained, skilled and understanding of the issues that poor mental health can bring. Just call or drop-in to the office (see How To Get Advice) and one of our generalist advisors will be able to help you. Remember that all our work is free and completely confidential.
Mental Health Outreach
Working together with our general advice team providing advice and help for people with mental health issues, we have a specialised advice service which is designed to help people with severe and enduring mental health issues in the Surrey boroughs of:
- Epsom and Ewell
- Mole Valley
- Reigate and Banstead
The service is aimed at those who are unable as a result of their illness to visit or telephone their local Citizens Advice office in the normal way.
The service offers free, comprehensive and confidential advice services in such areas as housing, welfare benefits, debt, employment and relationships. For example it helps clients to put their finances in order by managing any debts, securing benefits to which they are entitled, and obtaining grants or services from charities.
We are based in Epsom but our staff will be able to see clients at convenient locations across all the four boroughs that we cover. The project is by referral only, as it can only take the most complex of cases, which means that clients are seen first by the general service and referred in if it is the most appropriate way forwards.
We collect regular feedback on the quality of our service, and health outcomes for our clients.
We are grateful to our funders for their support in providing this service:
