Fundraising and Events Volunteers
As an independent charity we are not part of central or local government but must raise our own funds in order to provide our services to the public.
We are building an exciting programme of events and campaigns for 2022 and need a volunteer team with the energy and enthusiasm to help us deliver it. We’re looking for a small pool of volunteers to join a new fundraising and events team led by our Publicity & Fundraising Manager.
If you can spend a few hours a month lending a hand with organising events and raising funds then we want to hear from you!
The opportunities are many and varied – from running a stall at summer fetes and community fairs, to helping organise a quiz, taking part in sponsored walks, cake bakes, bucket collections and helping out with the publicity materials.
Roles available may be public-facing or behind the scenes, whatever suits you best eg. setting up a stall, checking tickets, welcoming people, answering queries, preparing food, selling raffle tickets etc.
What skills do I need?
We need people who enjoy working as part of a team, who are efficient and well organised with good communication skills, and preferably who have some experience of fundraising and/or organising small events.
You will be confident and outgoing, flexible and willing to be ‘hands on’ in order to get the job done.
Travel expenses will be reimbursed. You will be supervised by the Publicity & Fundraising Officer.
We are trying to establish a team that will work with us over the next year or two but this role may also be suitable for short-term or one-off volunteering.
Some work can be done from home but some may involve attending events or coming in to our office in Epsom.
