CAEE advisers recently helped two local clients held up by lack of digital skills.

New passport urgent

Our client was supporting a friend whose husband had just died while abroad. He wanted to go with her to manage arrangements but his passport was out of date. Despite the urgency, he had applied by post being unable to use the internet.

With the application held up and not feeling he could sort it out online or by phone, he asked us for advice on his next best steps.     

Bus pass renewal

Our client had a hearing impairment which affected her confidence and often made everyday transactions more difficult. She was dependent on bus travel for shopping and visiting family. She knew she had to apply at the library but for various reasons this hadn’t worked out.

We were able to help her complete the online application and obtain her new pass.
