We’re thrilled to be named one of the new Mayor’s charities

New Mayor
Cllr Rob Geleit: Mayor and first citizen.

The new Mayor of Epsom & Ewell has named Citizens Advice Epsom & Ewell as one of three charities he will support during his year in office.

Councillor Rob Geleit was officially recognised by the council at its annual Mayor Making ceremony on Tuesday 23 May. The event followed council elections held earlier this month.

First citizen

The Mayor is the first citizen of the Borough of Epsom & Ewell and carries out several key roles in his 1-year term. He represents the council and community at formal occasions and chairs full meetings of the Council. During their year Mayors are strictly politically neutral and other councillors take on their ward repesentative roles.

Lisa Davis, Citizens Advice CEO, said:

“We’re thrilled to have been selected and really looking forward to working with Councillor Geleit. His support will boost awareness of the charity and help our fundraising.”

Mayor Geleit will also be supporting Age Concern Epsom & Ewell and Love Me Love My Mind.
