Vice Chair

Are you passionate about changing things for the better in your local community?

We are looking for a new Vice Chair to work at Citizens Advice Epsom & Ewell, a well-established charity providing free, confidential and impartial advice on issues affecting people’s day-to-day lives. We are a local organisation supported by local volunteers to help local people in need. We’re looking for confident, friendly and well organised people to join our Trustee Board.
You would be expected to attend quarterly meetings of the Trustee Board, work collaboratively with the chair, deputising as needed and taking on specific responsibilities to support the Board in fulfilling its duties of governance, shaping strategy etc.

No specific qualifications are required. We welcome people of all ages, backgrounds and experience with fresh ideas and perspectives who want to help local people in need. Strong candidates will have knowledge and/or understanding of the charity, private or public sectors, coupled with general management skills such as strategic planning, business development, financial management, HR or communications and marketing.

Our regular meetings are held in Epsom during the daytime with some online. Your time commitment will be about 5 hours per month.
As a trustee you’ll work in a friendly team, support our staff and volunteers and make a real difference helping our society become a fairer, more equal place.
