Students – good reasons to think about volunteering in #SVW2023

Because it’s National Students Volunteering Week 2023? Well, yes, but we’ve got some better ones.

You can expect to:

  • Boost your CV, personal statement and application experience
  • Learn efficient time-management by balancing study, work and volunteering
  • Experience a professional work environment – useful preparation for a full-time job
  • Feel you’re doing something worthwhile and having a positive impact
  • Network with people or institutions that could open up exciting opportunities.

Anna sees volunteering at Citizens Advice as valuable for her career.

We’re pleased that our student volunteers in the past year all confirm the value of the time they spent at CAEE. Among them is Anna, a Year 13 at a local school. She’s working with us on Wednesdays and making a valuable contribution in research and social media.

Anna’s reasons? She says volunteering with Citizens Advice is adding to her experience of working life and her knowledge of subjects relevant to her planned career in the law.
