Grants for Carers
A new support fund for primary carers
Are you a primary carer for a partner, parent, child or friend, in receipt of a state benefit due to an illness or disability?
Do you, or the person you care for, live in the borough of Epsom & Ewell?
You may be eligible for a support grant to help relieve your stress, feelings of isolation, and improve your health and wellbeing.
Examples of the types of support we can help with are:
- A course to improve your quality of life, such as gym membership, yoga classes, or vocational courses.
- Relaxation treatments
- Respite care for the person you care for
- Support for the person you care for to give you some time out
- A shared break for you and the person you care for with support
- Help with debt incurred by the carer.
The fund is not for essential items such as wheelchairs, nor does it cover emergency cover.
The grant will be awarded at our discretion following an application and assessment of eligibility. Each case will be treated on its individual merits. All those deemed eligible will be treated equally and fairly within the constraints of the Carers Fund.
Complete the application form or contact carersfund@caee.org.uk for more detail.
This fund was previously administered by Carers of Epsom, to whom we are grateful for the opportunity to take this forward as part of our support to carer clients.
